Hi Bloggerverse! Well I'm on Day 3 of the 24 Day Challenge, and I'm feeling really good! I've been eating really clean and exercising every day. I'm currently training for the Long Beach Half Marathon in October, but I started a little late, so I'm still in the 3-4 mile range, which is perfect for this cleanse, and I'm mixing in plyo workouts and weight training to build my legs and core for endurance.
The Herbal Cleanse has been good to me so far. When researching the program, one of the common comments people made was that the cleanse is gentle, and it really is. I was skeptical about the Fiber Drink, because me and extra fiber just do not go well together, but I have not had any bad experiences. At my work, the ladies have a tea that they pass around when they have over indulged or are feeling a bit bloated, and that tea will send you running for the bathroom, so I am grateful that this drink is not like that.
Yesterday, my co-workers were grilling me about what I was eating because it all looked so healthy. I had two hard boiled eggs and a salad. While eating, one of the ladies threw out a new method she had read about for making hard boiled eggs, and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect method, because mine are hit or miss. Sometimes the yolk comes out perfect and soft, and other times I might as well be eating sand. She explained that you should let the water come to a boil first. Then you drop your eggs in and let them cook for 30 seconds. After that you remove the pan from heat, place a lid on it and let them sit in the water for 15 minutes. So I tried this method this morning... and I failed. I forgot about the lid! When I went to peel my eggs, they were a runny mess. Naturally, I didn't want to let my eggs go to waste. (These are expensive Organic, cage-free brown eggs people!) So I had this not-so-brilliant idea to put them in the microwave for a few seconds to finish cooking... epic fail! In less than 20 seconds my eggs "eggsploded" all over the microwave. Note to self: Never put your eggs in the micro... and just keep boiling your eggs like you have been. It's actually kind of fun peeling my eggs and wondering how I did that morning.
Now for a cute egg cartoon that I found:
